Salvelinus-Santa Cilia
PYRENEES: NAVARRE & ARAGON
Rich trout waters for 3 to 7-weight rods in the most remote Pyrenees from Santa Cilia, a charming village along the Way of St. James, where Salvelinus established the first fly-fishing lodge in Spain in 1999. Any direction you take from the lodge will lead you to prolific freestones, crystal-clear lakes, and interesting tailwaters inhabited by native browns. From March to late June, the area undoubtedly offers best´ Pyrenees hatches. July to late October bring prime opportunities on choppers for the highlands, and for trophy trout in the mid-country and tailwater fisheries.
