Mission

SALVELINUS

We work hard to improve as guides, and to fly fish where no one else reaches.

We seek to make the most out of our guests’ time while impacting local resources in positive ways.

To meet these goals, we created the Salvelinus Flexible Travel Plan, and donate 10% of our profits toward conservation.

Salvelinus dedicates 10% of its benefits to river conservation

Water Quality

Salvelinus finds it critical to know the status of water-quality conditions and how they have been changing over time.

Surveillance

Salvelinus works with volunteers and professional rural guards to monitor natural resources and inform recovery planning and policy.

Cleanups

Salvelinus regularly hosts cleanups to target the chronic trash found at access points to all Pyrenean waters.

Awareness

Through its fly fishing school and tourism activities, Salvelinus is invested in raising awareness about the importance of preserving natural resources.

Positive Impact for a Better World

“We believe we have a duty to add value where ever we can to society and we can make this happens using the quality tourism to improve the surrounding natural resources”

Learning the Value of Conservation

Salvelinus Schools teach anglers of all ages the secrets of the craft and show them the importance of the natural resources, including aquatic ecosystems. Family programs with 50% discount for all children under 18, and a fly fishing camp for youngsters from 10 to 14 years old are available in the Spanish Pyrenees.

Habitat protection grants quality fly-fishing

Salvelinus works hard to preserve the wildlife within the Spanish Pyrenees’ scenic landscapes and pristine waters. This 491km (305 mi) of public land provides some of the best natural habitats and last remaining native trout strongholds in Europe. There is a clear correlation between protected areas and robust populations of fish and wildlife.

Sustainable rural development with a cooperative mindset

Protecting and restoring local resources encourages recreation, connects the community to nature, and creates a sustainable economic engine for the region. Salvelinus helps local communities discover their own local treasures and embrace an economy that sustains and celebrates their traditional livelihood.

Restoring natural resources makes fly-fishing better

The health of trout streams is a responsibility Salvelinus and all its guests take very seriously. By partnering with municipal authorities, local communities, and anglers to restore littered trout streams to their former glory, there will continue to be quality fly fishing for the current and future generation in the years to come.
