Located in the medieval village surrounded by wilderness, the lodge presents a glorious setting for a fly-fishing expedition. Its deep history includes a traditional restaurant managed by Juan´s family for almost three centuries. Here, cozy accommodation with a family gathering feel prevails – log fires and communal dinners are complemented by an impeccable wine list carefully chosen by the sommelier. Getting here
Best International Airport is Barcelona: it is a two and a half hour chauffeured drive to the lodge by Salvelinus.
Facilities
Six restored double-bed bedrooms plus two comfortable apartments on the first and second floors. The venue also has on the ground floor, there is a spa and wellness center (massage room, sauna, jacuzzi, gym), a heated wader room, and an in-house fly shop.
Dine
All meals have been served at the nearby family-owned restaurant since 1762, where the attention to culinary detail is deliciously evident. The menu features local, organic produce in traditional dishes. Every night, Salvelinus guests gather in the private wine cellar to savor the delicious local cuisine paired with exquisite Spanish wines.
Wine
Arén was a wine location in the Pyrenees centuries ago. Nowadays there are no longer vineyards or merchants for this matter, but wine culture is still clearly a passion here. The ancient cellar has an excellent wine selection from some of the best Pyrenees vineyards. Lunch and dinner are paired with genuine wines from several wine regions all over Spain.
